Amardeep S Dahiya is an acclaimed writer, a successful entrepreneur and businessman. Besides this he also is an internationally certified Hospitality Educator, an ardent poet, syndicated columnist and has remained a successful Privatisation and Management Consultant in Eastern Europe.
His writing voyage began in 1992 when on a request of a friend Robert Botteri, the founder and editor of the massively popular Slovene magazine MLADINA, he started writing articles on International Politics and soon was a syndicated columnist.
Amardeep Dahiya’s first book “Four Fingers and Seventeen Nails” a contemporary selection of seventeen short stories was published in 2005 by UBSPD India’s biggest publishing house since 1963. Four Fingers and Sixteen Nails” is a selection of sixteen short stories about the metamorphosising cocktail of the modern, materialistic obsessed West vs the spiritualistic, value based, superstitious East. Characterized by strong plots, the stories, though varying in content and pulse, share startling and stunning endings. It has sold over ten thousand copies in its first year of publication. The book has received rave reviews and is a bestseller in India by any standards.
The second book of Amardeep S Dahiya, 2050: A Glimpse into the future, was published in 2007. 2050: A Glimpse into the futureis a book about the future – how we and our lives will be fifty odd years down the century. A book which outlines and captures our future lives, our fears and desires, in respect of the world that we will be living in integrating both the macro aspects -- the environment, globalization, science and technology, business and economy – as well as the micro and more immediate ones e.g. the car, home, food, clothes, office, the jobs, the diseases, the leisure, entertainment etc. in the year 2050. Based on extensive research, future trends, past history it paints a clear picture of each and every aspect of our existence and the increasing incomprehensible world around us.

In 2008 his first hindi book, Baaisveen Sadi Ek Jhalak, was published by Konark Publishers.
Amardeep S Dahiya was born a business family based in the North Indian city of Chandigarh in 1967. After doing his graduation in Commerce from Chandigarh, he shifted to, what was in 1987, West Germany. He earned a second Bachelor in Business Administration and a Masters in Business Administration from Schiller International University, Heidelberg. In 1990, along with two Slovenes and an American he started his own Privatisation and Management Consultancy Company in Austria. He spent the next seven years based in Ljubljana but actively criss crossing Eastern Europe. In these years his prime activity remained Management Consultancy and Commodity Trading.
In the fall of 1996 Amardeep S Dahiya returned to India to join the family business. He at present is the Managing Director of Polo Hotels Limited running a four star hotel in the Tricity of Chandigarh Panchkula and Mohali and is the Executive Director in three other family companies in the field of Plastics and Engineering.
Besides the above he has finished several books -- a novel titled The Desert Hotel, a coffee table book on Haryanavi Cuisine, a biography of Guru Gobind Singh. Also a poet he has finished a collection of poems titled Delusions.
He is presently working on a book on Indian Politics tentatively titled: Indian Politics – The Journey So Far.
He has a passion and indepth knowledge of the developmental issues facing India, Asia and the world as a whole besides participating in discussion and debates on International Politics. An accomplished orator, he is a multilingual speaking as many as five languages. His active hobbies include Cooking and Tarot Reading.
